Jeanette Harris – Saxophonist
Jeanette Harris is hailed as the Sax Queen of Smooth Jazz, known for her electrifying performances, soulful originals, and standout covers like her Billboard-charting take on Stevie Wonder’s “All I Do.” A Berklee College of Music graduate, Jeanette blends classical training with bold, contemporary style, setting her apart as a dynamic force in jazz. She toured as saxophonist for the late Teena Marie and has shared stages with icons like Norman Brown and Gerald Albright. Her acclaimed album Saxified and latest release Her Majesty showcase her signature fusion of smooth jazz, R&B, and pop influences. Jeanette has captivated audiences at top jazz festivals and venues across the U.S., Japan, Germany, and the U.K. Her passion for performance and dedication to her craft shine through in every show, affirming her status as a powerful, trailblazing artist redefining the landscape of smooth jazz.
Chelsey Green & The Green Project – Violinist
Described as “passionate, electrifying, and innovative,” Billboard-charting, international recording artists Chelsey Green and The Green Project break down stereotypes of traditional violin and viola playing. A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Chelsey Green is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and educator that combines Classical and Contemporary to make music uniquely her own.
Chelsey Green and The Green Project are Billboard-charting, international recording artists known for blending classical training with contemporary flair to create a dynamic, genre-defying sound. Led by Houston native Dr. Chelsey Green—a violinist, violist, vocalist, educator, and Berklee College of Music professor—the group has released five acclaimed studio projects, performed worldwide, and appeared on major stages including the GRAMMY Awards with Lizzo and Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The Key Of Life tour. Their performances span major festivals like Capital Jazz Fest, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and Austin City Limits. Recently, Chelsey scored a Billboard #1 single with smooth jazz artist Nathan Mitchell. Dedicated to music education and advocacy, Chelsey delivers workshops, residencies, and keynote addresses globally. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy. Jazmin Ghent – Saxophonist
Dr. Jazmin Ghent is an award-winning international jazz saxophonist and acclaimed music educator known for her dynamic blend of jazz, R&B, and gospel. A two-time NAACP Image Award nominee and 2019 winner for The Story of Jaz, she has released six albums, with seven Top 5 Billboard Smooth Jazz singles—including #1 hits “Kickin’ It Up” and “Upgrade.” Jazmin has graced top festivals worldwide, including the Dave Koz Cruise, Seabreeze Jazz Festival, and the World Expo in Dubai. A passionate educator, she taught K–5 music for five years and now teaches Music Education and Music Cognition at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, while also lecturing virtually at Tennessee State. Her outreach includes global workshops through U.S. Embassy programs and jazz festivals in Haiti, the U.S., and beyond. With a Ph.D. in Music Education and a growing global presence, Dr. Jazmin Ghent is a rising force in contemporary jazz.
Pamela Hart – Vocalist
Pamela Hart, hailed as “Austin’s First Lady of Jazz,” is a celebrated vocalist, educator, and arts advocate with over 25 years dedicated to preserving vocal jazz. A Los Angeles native and UCLA graduate, she found her jazz voice in Austin, studying legends like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald through public library records. Her passion led to founding the Women in Jazz Association, Inc. with her husband in 1994, producing concerts, workshops, and youth programs that have impacted countless aspiring artists. Pamela has performed at prestigious festivals, including Montreux and Vienne, and collaborated with jazz greats like Dr. James Polk. A powerful presence on stage and in the classroom, she also runs HartBeat Productions and regularly coaches young singers. Her accolades include induction into the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame and the 2023 Black Music Award for Best Female Jazz Performer. Pamela’s mission: keep jazz alive, vibrant, and deeply personal.
